Every Inchie Monday: bicycle

bicycle
An explanation for the young and the non-English. It's a pennyfarthing bicycle, named after two old coins (a penny and a quarter penny - or farthing) which had relative sizes that matched the wheels. The 1 1/4d was how it was written.

Pencil on card.
